Búho: Celebrate Independence Weekend 2026

Búho Cocina y Cantina, Waikiki’s premier rooftop Mexican dining destination, is thrilled to announce its spectacular lineup for the Independence Weekend 2026 Celebration. From Friday, July 3 through Sunday, July 5, locals and visitors alike are invited to experience three unforgettable nights of live music, top-tier DJs, and vibrant rooftop vibes—all with NO COVER CHARGE all weekend long.

Located on the 5th-floor rooftop of the Waikiki Shopping Plaza, Búho offers the perfect vantage point to catch the festive atmosphere and fireworks above while enjoying a fiery fiesta below.

Event Lineup & Highlights:

  • Friday, July 3: Bachata Night & Social Dancing Kick off the holiday weekend with a sultry night of dancing. Partnering with the Honolulu Bachata Club, the night begins with an Intro to Bachata (beginner-friendly) from 7:00 PM to 7:45 PM, followed by social dancing (4:1 Bachata/Salsa) until 10:00 PM. From 10:00 PM to 1:30 AM, Ritmo808’s own DJ Nicco Suave will take over the decks. Exclusive drink specials will be available throughout the night.
  • Saturday, July 4: Independence Day Celebration Celebrate the 4th of July with high-energy live salsa music by Son Caribe from 7:00 PM to 10:00 PM. As the night heats up, DJ Da Lion of Judah will keep the dance floor packed from 10:00 PM until 1:30 AM. Guests can also indulge in specially crafted Independence Day drink specials.
  • Sunday, July 5: Military & Industry Night Búho wraps up the weekend by honoring those who serve our country and our local hospitality community. Enjoy house music curated by DJ Bonya from 8:00 PM to 12:00 AM, alongside exclusive food and drink specials tailored for industry and military guests (ID or industry verification required).
